Last updated: 11 August 2026

This policy explains at a high level how Slota handles personal information when businesses and customers use the platform.

Information we process

Slota may process account details, business profile information, staff information, customer contact details, appointment information, communications preferences, technical information and billing-related identifiers required to provide the service.

Why we process information

Information is used to provide booking and business-management features, authenticate users, send requested transactional communications, operate billing, protect the service, investigate problems and improve Slota.

Businesses and customer data

Businesses using Slota decide which customer information they collect for appointments and are responsible for using that information lawfully. Slota processes that information to provide the service to the business.

Payments

Card details used for Slota platform billing are handled by Stripe. Slota does not store the full payment-card number in its application database.

Sharing

Information may be shared with service providers where needed to operate Slota, for example hosting, authentication, email delivery and payment processing. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

Retention and security

Information is retained only as needed for the service, legal obligations and legitimate operational requirements. Slota uses technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, individuals may have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability under UK data-protection law.

Changes

This policy may be updated as Slota develops. The version published on this page will apply from its stated update date.
